Tuition & Fee Student Account Information
Excess Financial Aid
I have applied for financial aid. Will I get a refund check? When will I get my refund check? Where will my refund check be mailed to?
- Once financial aid has been applied to the Student Tuition Account, funds will be applied to tuition and fee charges and all excess funds will be refunded to the student
- Refund checks are mailed to the Mailing address the student had indicated on
http://my.wisc.edu
at the time the
refund is processed. To view your addresses:
- Choose Student Center
- At the bottom of the page, you can view, update and delete your addresses.
- If you do not see a Billing address, add one by choosing the Add a New Address button.
- To find out when a refund check was processed and where it was mailed to, view the tuition and fee account on http://my.wisc.edu under the 'Financial' tab
- Please allow 10 business days for the refund process
- If there are any changes in classes and/or charges on the Student Tuition Account which may impact the student's financial aid eligibility, the aid may be reduced and student may owe money back
Can I pick up a refund check at the Bursar's Office?
- No, refund checks are processed by an outside vendor and will be sent via U.S. Mail
I received a bill stating that I owe money back after I received a refund check, what does this mean?
- If there are any changes in classes and/or charges on the Student Tuition Account which impact the student's tuition and fee after the refund check was processed, the student may owe all or a portion of the refund back
