Late Payment Fee Policy

How can I avoid the late payment fee?
  • Tuition and fee payments must be received -not postmarked- in the Bursar's Office on or before the due date
  • Failure to receive a tuition and fee bill will not be accepted as a reason for missing the due date since your Student Tuition Account is available online at http://my.wisc.edu http://my.wisc.edu http://my.wisc.edu
  • Keep Billing, Mailing and Home addresses current at all times.
    • Log on to http://my.wisc.edu
    • Choose Student Center
    • At the bottom of the page, you can view, update and delete your addresses.
    • If you do not see a Billing address, add one by choosing the Add a New Address button.
  • You can pay by e-Check to make sure tuition and fee payments are received on time.
    • Log on to http://my.wisc.edu
    • Choose Student Center
    • Under the Finances section of My Account, choose Tuition Account Summary/Make a Payment.
    • Choose the the Make a Payment button and follow the instructions.
I mailed my check on the due date. Why am I being charged a late payment fee?
